Scholarship call for the planning of postdoctoral projects

The Donner Institute announces three six-month scholarships (€3,000 per month) aimed at postdoctoral researchers for the planning of research projects. The scholarships are awarded for project planning that involves some form of collaboration with Åbo Akademi University. The work may include preparatory studies, literature reviews, and similar activities. Continuous presence in Turku is not required during the scholarship period; however, the scholar is expected to maintain close dialogue with a subject at Åbo Akademi University.

The grants can be drawn from November 2026. The full grant amount must be drawn no later than the year following the award decision (for this call, no later than 2027). As a rule, no more than three years should have elapsed since the completion of the doctoral degree by the application deadline.

The application period runs from 1 June to 31 August 2026. The application portal opens on 1 June at 9:00 and closes on 31 August at 16:00 (Finnish time, UTC+02:00). Further information about the call can be found here.
