Nominate candidates for the Donner Research Prize 2025

There is still time to nominate candidates for the Donner Institute’s annual prize for outstanding research pertaining to the field of religion. The prize is awarded for a doctoral dissertation within the field of religion, understood in a broad sense, which may include dissertations in the study of culture.

The dissertation must have been defended relatively recently (2022 or later) and must be submitted in the printed or digital form presented at the public defence. The research should have been carried out at a Nordic university.

The prize was established in 2010, and the prize sum amounts to € 5,000. The prize committee consists of the Donner Institute Board.

The nominations should be sent by 31 May 2025 to Sofia Sjö, secretary of the Donner Institute Board. She will also provide further information on the prize: sofia.sjo@abo.fi
